While it’s true an encrypted card is more secure, it’s also true you’re entering a proprietary market, leaving you at the mercy of the manufacturer’s price increases.

This is why we're challenging our customers to think twice. Before you consider switching to encrypted cards, consider if the disparity in cost between an encrypted and traditional smart card system is worth having only a marginally more secure network.
